• ART is evidenced-based in the treatment of symptoms related to: PTSD, depression and anxiety. It can be effective for: grief, work-related stress, addictions, relationship issues, codependency, etc.

  • ART is not the same as Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) although both therapies utilize eye movements. The brain, while focusing on a problem and using eye movements at the same time, makes new connections with an individual's strengths and problem-solving abilities.

  • You are in complete control of the therapy and are not hypnotized. In fact, we speak throughout the session.

  • Disturbing images, emotions and physical sensations will be processed by using eye movements so that they disappear and positive images, emotions and sensations can be enhanced.

  • This therapy can have a calming effect and you may notice you are more relaxed and better able to problem solve following a session.
